One Bite at a Time.

Our Online Course is designed for parents and caregivers who want to add variety into their child’s diet. In particular, this course is most appropriate for parents of children that are eating between 15–20 foods; however, most foods consumed fall into one or two food groups. We walk you through our techniques step by step, with our downloadable workbook, alongside video tutorials and one-on-one support via Zoom with our therapists.

Below, you can find more details about our “why” behind this course, details on how to get started, and purchase your course at the bottom of this page.

 bridging          the gap.

For the past 15 years, we have dedicated our time and effort to developing an intensive in person model of service for families of children with severe feeding difficulties. Despite our successes, we recognize that this level of support is not accessible to everyone that needs help. For some families, cost or access to in person treatment prohibits them from getting help. And for others, the challenges they face with their child’s eating, although concerning, do not warrant the need for intensive therapy.

how do you eat an elephant?

(one bite at a time)

While growing up, anytime I was overwhelmed with the enormity of a task, my mother would impart her wisdom with this expression. Instead of wallowing in unhelpful thoughts, she taught me to break a seemingly insurmountable goal into small, manageable steps and focus my energy and attention on completing each step. The sense of accomplishment of completing one step motivated me to keep going and fulfill the next step, until eventually I reached my final goal.

In our work, we recognize that teaching a child to accept new foods is not an easy process. For a parent, this can feel next to impossible. No matter how big the “Elephant”, we also know with consistent use of strategies, a child’s eating can improve. Research and practice have proven so.
