15 items we recommend you always have stocked

Life gets hectic between school drop-offs and hundreds of different activities. Once you finally get home, you are still expected to make dinner; for many of you, it’s multiple dinners. We understand that can be frustrating, and a drive-thru window seems much more appealing.

We have gathered 15 items we recommend you always have stocked so that even if you forget to go to the grocery store, you can still make a healthy meal at home.

1. Olive oil and Butter
2. Pasta
3. Rice
4. Oats
5. Beans and lentils
6. Nutritional yeast or cheese
7. Baking powder
8. Vanilla extract
9. Coconut sugar, maple syrup or honey
10. Lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
11. Eggs
12. Frozen fruit
13. Frozen vegetables
14. Pasta sauce (our favourites are Rao’s, Carbone, and Primal Kitchen) or, even better, the next time you make a pasta sauce, make a double batch and freeze it.
15. Keep a box of onions, garlic and potatoes in a dark cupboard

So next time you’re in a pinch and only have time to boil some pasta with grated cheese, butter and frozen peas if you're lucky! It will most certainly be the healthier option for you and your family.

How many meals can you make us with these 15 items?

We’d love to hear your response!

And if there is nothing or very few items on this list your child would eat, it’s time to connect with us!
