Simple swaps to make breakfast time more nutritious

As we talked about in our last newsletter, kids who consume high-sugar diets, especially in the morning, are much more likely to experience emotional dysregulation, have a difficult time learning and have issues with sleep.

Here, we give you 5 tips for making breakfast time more nutritious for little ones.

1. Add ground flax to your pancake or waffle mix

2. Ditch the ultra-hydrogenated oil peanut butter for a natural, smooth peanut butter

3. Use plain Greek yogurt and add blended berries and raw honey rather than a fruity yogurt cup

4. Swap boxed cereal for a homemade granola

5. Swap premade hashbrowns for shredded potato pan-fried in avocado oil with sea salt
